Dear Friends, This week's quote is from the spiritual awareness class CC 132, which was published in Volume 5 of The Living Light Dialogue.
"Many times we have spoken of the human mind. And now we will speak more of the eternal journey and the destiny of the true life, known as soul. The mind is often asked about young souls, old souls, souls that have journeyed for centuries and souls that have not. My good students, it is a very simple and easy thing to awaken to whether or not your soul has journeyed for centuries: if you have journeyed for centuries, then your acceptance of life and all that it has to offer is very broad and encompassing, for in the experiences of centuries do we awaken, slowly but surely, to the eternal right of the divine expression. We learn, in those centuries, the foolishness of the human mind: to dictate and to judge. We learn, in those many centuries, that our destiny is the direct effect of mental thought processes. We also learn that to accept is to free from the seat of judgment. To accept is to permit an infinite, eternal Power to flow unobstructed through the mental form and, in so flowing, to bring unto us the goodness, the fullness, the abundance that, in truth, is our heritage. Learn to accept each experience for what it is, in truth, offering to you, for it is offering to you a broader and a brighter horizon. Without the darkness on the path, there would not be the value for the light that, slowly but surely, begins to shine. From the great eternal Oversoul we all have journeyed and many are the centuries that have already passed. Through experience without number, we have viewed what creation truly is: a mental attitude of mind. Remember, my good students, that creation is a mental attitude of mind. What it brings into your life is dependent upon your choice of attitude. It is within your power and right to sustain an attitude of goodness, of success, of all that life has to offer. Through your attitude of mind shall you reign supreme over all creation. It is your attitude. It is nothing, in truth, nothing else. Health, wealth, and happiness are the direct effect of your own efforts to maintain and sustain an attitude that is in keeping with those immutable laws of peace and harmony." Our minds are like a garden. If we make the conscious effort to monitor and guide our thoughts, then our garden is beautiful and well-maintained. When we do not make that effort, our gardens quickly become overrun with weeds. And our experiences in life return the effort that we are making.
