| Dear Friends, This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class CC 168, which was published in Volume 6 of The Living Light Dialogue.
"And now it is time that we consider our great spiritual duty. . . For as your technology advances and as you send these earthly forms out into the distant space, there are grave responsibilities that your Earth has not awakened to and, therefore, has not considered. Changes must come about to raise the level of consciousness to spiritual realms, for the imbalance of material, scientific advancement far out shadows the spiritual growth of the planet Earth.
And so you are here and must begin your duties in considering the universes. You must expand beyond your limited Earth existence, for no matter how microscopic your effort, it is needed for the centuries that lie ahead. Because of the lack of spiritual awakening upon your planet, because of the scientific material advancement, the imbalance with the nature spirits is very great. That imbalance not only affects the planet Earth, but it has an effect out into the universes. For if Earth, the fifth planet in the fifth solar system, does not stem the tide of discord and bring about a greater harmony, it shall affect and be detrimental to untold billions of beings.
Face your true purpose. Be a clear instrument, as you were designed to be. You have the opportunity to do your work well. All you need to be is the light that you truly are. To bring about the balance in nature, become balanced within and then that light, invisible to your physical eyes, will become the healing balm wherever you walk, whatever you touch, whatever you sense, whatever you view.
As you still creation in your universe—and you still creation by the great power of peace—that Light, called the Light of the Divine, shines brightly in the darkened world of discord. Become a balanced being. Let not the thought forms of creation rule you any longer. Declare that truth in your mental universe. Declare it each time those forms dictate their discord, for so much is at stake. And do not permit your minds to judge that someone else will do the job, for that someone else shall always be your conscience."
We change the world by changing ourselves. And we change ourselves through meditation, our affirmations, and our spiritual exercises. All of which help us to express our soul faculties. And as we make the conscious effort to express more fully through our soul faculties, we bring about a greater balance in our lives. And as we restore balance in our beings, we become instruments of balance in this world.
