Dear Friends, This week's quote is from the spiritual awareness class CC 69, which was published in Volume 3 of The Living Light Dialogue.
"Now, we could say, "I didn't want to be out of work," in case you're out of work. "I didn't want to be poor," in case you're materially poor. "I didn't want to have to live with poor health." We could all say that. All of us can say that. But if we are honest and we are sincere, we can go deep within our consciousness and we can say to our spirit, "What is it, O Divine Intelligence, what laws have I, as an individualized soul, transgressed? Let me see clearly without emotion. Let me see in the light of reason why I am where I am and why I am experiencing what I'm experiencing." Now, if we will truly do that, we will see why we are where we are. Now, we may like it or we may not like it. But don't try that inward journey, my friends, with emotion. Don't do that to yourself and to your soul. Be reasonable. Be honest. And be sincere. And remember that you are no worse and no better than any other human soul in the universes, that you and I and everyone has what we call a cross to bear. But look at it this way: A seeming bad experience produces excellent results if we will look at the experience without emotion. If we will look at it in humble acceptance, we will find something greater within our being than the passing experience that we are having at the moment. For, my good friends, there is good in all things. Whether or not we can see it at the moment does not change the goodness that is in all experiences. So think, my good students, think upward." The philosophy teaches that our greatest struggles in life may be our brightest blessings. That has certainly been my experience, although it was quite a few years after each struggle before I awakened to the goodness that they offered. Without the great storms and struggles of life, we might not awaken to the greatness that is within us all.
