For more information, see below.   "In Discourse 47, it is stated, "You have entered your realm according to divine law and have a purpose to fulfill." My question is, so many of us do not know our purpose and how to fulfill it. Would you give us some understanding of what our purpose in this life is?" "Thank you so very much. There is a part of us, deep within our being, that knows the purpose that we have entered this earth realm in our soul's evolution. The reason that perhaps most of us are not aware of this purpose is because our mind has refused to accept it, because it is not in keeping with what our mental patterns of the past have already accepted. Every soul enters life with its natural talents that it has earned in its evolution. Now, when you earn, through evolution, a so-called talent, you have a responsibility to serve in the talent that you have earned. For example, if you have made the effort to be a pianist or a singer or a doctor or whatever and you have spent the time and energy for that, and you are proficient in that, you have a responsibility to share that service with the world. And so it is that all souls here in this earth realm have come here with their varying soul talents. However, usually what happens—and very early in life— they have a certain feeling and a certain natural liking to a particular profession or field of endeavor. Usually, they open their mouths and they get a negative reaction that that would not be in their best interests: they would not be able to have financial security, etc., etc., etc. There are a multitude of reasons. And so it is, my good friends, that within all of us, that awareness is waiting for us to take a look at it: our own purpose in life. But that takes acceptance. You see, we sit down in a meditation and we're peaceful and we're quiet. If we are sincere and we ask the intelligence within us, "What is my purpose in life? I'm not consciously aware of it. Perhaps I was at some day, but at least today I am not. Let me be humble and let me be receptive to the feelings and the still, small voice deep within me that is trying to guide me," then you will know what your purpose in life is. It might mean quite a change in your present life, but at least you will know. And that is your divine right: to know. Insight into Concern and the Annual Drawing

For more information on that, please see below.   "One of the greatest obstructions to this flow of rhythm and balance is the mental concern over any situation that we may encounter in life. Now, it is a very normal thing to be concerned about the outcome of anything that we are interested in. This is a very normal process of the mind. When I say "normal," I mean it is very average. When we permit the mind to be concerned, that is when we become the obstruction to anything that we are seeking in life. Now, a person may say, "Well, I'd best be concerned or the job won't get done." It doesn't mean that we should sit back and just say, "Well, there's a Divine Intelligence. It will take care of it." No, that's not why we're individualized souls. But there is a fine point. There is a point where the mind does its job. There is a point at which the mind does not, and cannot, go beyond. The mind expresses in a mental level. And it can do many things and does do many things on a mental level. But there is a level of consciousness that is greater, that is far superior than what we call the mind. And when we reach a situation life, whatever it may be—our business, our prosperity, or our health—when we have done all that we feel that we can do to have the situation turn out the way that we desire it to do, there comes a point in time where we must let go. Let go of all concern, because we have done everything that we can do mentally. When we reach that point, there is an inner peace that descends over our vibration. And when that happens, it is amazing: because that which we have tried with such great effort starts to dawn in our consciousness, and it has happened. What it simply means, my friends, is this—consciously or unconsciously, it does not matter how—it means that we have let go. We have let go of the mental activity concerning the situation and now we will become the living demonstration of what God can do. And that's what happens, my friends. That's what happens when the mind says, "I've had it. Now art is not limited to painting, to singing, to carpentry, or to plumbing or to any particular field of endeavor. Art is the expression of the soul faculty of harmony, rhythm, and quality. Art is an instrument through which the seeing eye or the listening ear is enabled to open the door of imagination and enter the spheres of perfect harmony, where peace reigns supreme. Whenever the artist is concerned with the effect of their effort, they steal from the viewer the indispensable ingredient for opening the door of imaging or imagination. It is commonly referred to as an artist who has overdone their writing, their painting, or their particular form of soul expression. Concern over the effect of any endeavor places the endeavor into the mental world of consciousness, guaranteeing the duality of expression and the bondage of form. For art to be art, the instrument through which it is being expressed must be free from the bondage of a mental world. And in order to accomplish this freedom, the instrument of the Divine Expression must move quickly, for the spirit of freedom is a spirit of spontaneity. It is in spontaneity, in those moments that we experience inspiration, for in spontaneity is the ability to be free from the shadows of the past, from the bondage of yesterday, commonly known as judgment.
