Dear Friends, This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class CC 189, which was published in Volume 7 of The Living Light Dialogue. "Let us make greater effort to stop blaming outside. For with each thought of blame that we direct away from ourselves, we give greater strength to those forms who have enslaved us. As we begin to accept the responsibility, as we begin to accept that each and every moment of our life is dependent upon what we are thinking, as we do that, my good friends, we begin to gain control. Let us become more aware of the frequency in which we are blaming outside for what, in truth, is going on inside. That is where our growth truly lies. When we say to our mind, "Peace, O, mind, for I have created you out of the substance of the universe to serve me wisely. Peace. I order you to peace, that you may be truly a servant to fulfill a good purpose in life. For only through my direction do you exist." Remember, when you speak to these things, that you alone have the power. Having brought them into form, you alone have the power to send them back to the formless. Remember, my friends, that is the power that you, in your evolution, have earned. It's when you forget, then things no longer are harmonious. Disaster rises up its ugly head again and again and again, showing you clearly that you have forgotten. You have forgotten for a time. To take hold of the reigns is to direct your own evolution. You see, each thought you permit your mind to experience, each thought, each thought is a form. When you harbor a thought, you are feeding a form. You are directing neutral, intelligent energy. You are causing it to move, to act, and to be. Each and every thought, it goes out into the universe; it gathers up like kind. If it is a pleasing form, a good form, a constructive form, it goes out into the world and all of the forms that are like it are attracted to it. Let your forms be angelic that your life may be the peace that is your true home." This philosophy teaches that outward manifestations are revelations of inner attitudes of mind. So our experiences and interactions with people are a reflection of where we are in consciousness, even if we are not consciously aware that we are expressing on that particular level. To change an experience we must first make a change within our consciousness. Those who are new to Serenity, you will find additional quotes on Serenity's Facebook Fanpage but for some time now I have not been able to update that page. Unfortunately, I seem to have reached an impasse with Facebook and my efforts have been unsuccessful. If you have any topics you would like addressed in these weekly emails, please feel free to email your request. To ensure that you consistently receive Serenity's weekly emails, be sure to add Serenity's email address to your contacts and your white list. This will help ensure that the emails are not treated as spam.
