Dear Friends, I am pleased to announce that Serenity's annual drawing is now open. And for more information on that, please see below. This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class CC 55, which was published in Volume 3 of The Living Light Dialogue. "Now let's take the example that the gentleman has brought up in reference, of course, to material supply. Our mind has become addicted to the illusion that it is outside and we must do something about events and circumstances out there. That is the illusion, the great illusion. It is in our thinking; it is in our attitude. Now, a person says, "I always seem to attract in my life these so-called tolerance-testers." Now, you see, it's the same principle at work. The same principle in getting money is the same principle of what some students call tolerance-testers: that "I just can't understand how I'm always attracting to me these tolerance-testers." Well, my friends, it's the same law, you see. It's a magnetic law. The tolerance-tester outside is the testing one is doing to oneself. And the people out there that are attracted to them are the mirror. So it's the same principle with supply. It's the same principle with what you call money. It's inside, in our attitude. Now, when we change our attitude, then we can come into rapport with what is called money and divine flow. But, you see, the change has to take place in here. Now, we made a statement several classes ago that we don't need money, that money needs us. You see, the moment that your mind says that you need something, you deny your divinity. You take out of your aura energy, and you give it to the thing that you say that you need that's over here. Now, when you do that, you become the victim and the slave of circumstances and conditions. So, you see—let us put it another way. When man educates his desires, he finds his true wealth, you see. Now, we've also stated in the creative principle in one of these classes—and even made a chart and a diagram for you—"As you believeth, you becometh." If you believe that you need something, what you are saying is, "I deny the truth that I already have it." You see, we already have everything. However, we have permitted ourselves to sin for untold centuries—and by sin, I mean the error of ignorance— saying that we don't have this and we don't have that. Now our God is equal to our understanding and as our understanding has narrowed through the centuries, our God has become more stingy. And so we find ourselves in what is known as lack and limitation. Well, lack and limitation of anything—I don't care if you call it money or you call it health—is a revelation, my good students, of the narrowing of your understanding, you see. Now, we try to teach here to broaden your horizons, to expand your understanding. And then, these so-called needs will disappear, as you come to the realization that all that you are seeking, you already have. Then, my good students, you'll get off the treadmill of delusion and you will be free. But you will not, and cannot, be free until you dethrone the false gods that you have created in your thinking that tell you that you must chase here, there, and everywhere to get what you're seeking. That's not where it is. Now, if a person—and a million people seem to be doing it every day—if a person can attract repeatedly so-called tolerance-testers and bummer experiences into their life, the same law— identically the same law—will attract for you all that you think you need. Now, I do hope that that's helped with your question. It's very important. You see, a man says, "Well, I've got to do this in order to get that." As long as man believes that—man is a law unto himself—and so he will have to do this to get that. Someone else believes a different way and he doesn't have to do this to get that. But it depends on what you care to believe in life." Serenity's Annual Drawing I am pleased to announce the annual drawing to commemorate the birth and the passing on of the founder of Serenity, Mr. Richard Goodwin. The prizes for the drawing are 5 copies of Volume 1 of The Living Light Dialogue. That is, there will be 5 winners and each winner will be mailed a copy of Volume 1. The drawing is open through the month of February and closes on February 29, 2020. All are welcomed to enter---just respond to any of the weekly emails saying that you would like to enter. In order to be fair, only one entry per email address will be allowed. In the first week of March, the winners will be drawn. The winners will be notified by email and asked to provide a mailing address so that their copy of Volume 1 can be mailed. If a winner does not provide a mailing address in a timely manner, a new name will be drawn. If the winner of the drawing already has Volume 1, then he or she may choose any other published volume. The winners may also choose to receive a PDF of their volume. As soon as all copies have been mailed to the winners, their names and countries of residence will be announced in this weekly email. This drawing is being sponsored by a number of friends of Serenity in order to make these beautiful teachings more available to those who are seeking. And I think this is a beautiful way to honor and commemorate Mr. Goodwin. Those who are new to Serenity, you will find recent quotes on Serenity's Facebook Fanpage and that is also where you can join students of the Living Light from around the world to ask questions and share your understanding. I hope you will join the conversation. If you have any topics you would like addressed in these weekly emails, please feel free to email your request. To ensure that you consistently receive Serenity's weekly emails, be sure to add Serenity's email address to your contacts and your white list. This will help ensure that the emails are not treated as spam. Additional information on these teachings is available on Serenity's website: http://www.livinglight.org Sincerely yours, Russell Fitzgerald Vice President |
