Serenity's Weekly Spiritual Quote: When we face struggles

 

 

Dear Friends,

 

This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class CL 88, which will be published very soon in Volume 10 of The Living Light Dialogue.

 


  “The years are very short. We know not the hour, nor the moment, when we leave this physical earth. But we do know our mind does not change because we leave the physical body. Whatever your attitude, that is what goes with you. So it’s our own thinking. And when we say the struggle is too great, remember, the priority of making the change is not yet very high on our list of priorities. When you feel that the struggle is so great, when you feel there is a shortage of the things you desire, when you feel that someone else has what you really want, remember that in that moment and in that thinking, you are denying the very God that is waiting to bring it into your life, for you are looking with a limited mind, you are looking in the mental realm, you are looking how you can have what you want instead of accepting that the great, intelligent God is ever waiting to fulfill your desires in life. You cannot accept until you first take control of the human mind, the limited vehicle that stands between our soul and the divine, eternal truth. When we still this vehicle of ours, when we bring it into a perfect harmony— for that’s what stillness really is—then we will see and we will know beyond a shadow of any doubt that it is only our self that is standing in our own light.


Let us enjoy the short journey that we have here on earth, for that indeed is the will of the Divine. Let us, by the enjoying of this journey that we have, fulfill the true purpose of our being. We know what we’re doing. No one needs to tell us that, for in the moment that we pause, we see very clearly. But let us, in that pause, declare our divine right to the fullness of life. Let us dethrone the false gods, created by our mind, of fear, for they bring us no goodness in truth. Any thought that your mind has that denies you the right of beauty, goodness, and peace and the fullness of life is a false god created in errors of ignorance by a limited mind.


Remember, there is no God anywhere at any time that denies anyone anything. This intelligent Energy is constantly flowing around us, about us, and through us. Every experience that we have is an effect of our directing this intelligent Energy. If those experiences have been experiences that we do not enjoy, it is not God, for God is sustaining what we have chosen to think. So let us think thoughts of beauty. Let us think the goodness of life and in so doing, if we are consistent, if we make just a little effort, we will see the so-called miracle of change before us.”
