Dear Friends,
This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class CQA 32, which will soon be published in Volume 11 of The Living Light Dialogue.
“Religion, its understanding in this philosophy, means that which binds—binds us to. Now let us pause in our mental activity and let us, hopefully, see clearly. That which we serve serves us. And so whether it’s sport, a rabbit foot, or anything else, we reap the harvest from our efforts in keeping with the divine, demonstrable Law of Continuity. If man chooses to find his God (meaning goodness) his peace, his health, his wealth, and his happiness through a vehicle known as sport, that is not only the divine right of all souls, but it is, to that man, of great benefit, if he makes it so. Therefore, I see no difference in man finding a sport as his religion, as man finding a temple as his religion if in so finding that “binding to” benefits himself, for in so doing shall it benefit all those around and about him.
I know of no God, in Spiritualist terms, Infinite Intelligence, that dictates to man that we can receive the benefits from this divine Infinite Intelligence only if we do certain things. That is not a God that I have ever known of, nor is it a God that I could possibly believe in. For I understand the will of God to be total acceptance, for I look at all creation; I see the life. I see nothing is denied. Therefore, I could not possibly believe in a God that gives to one and takes from another. I could not possibly believe that the will of God would be limited in any way.
I know that many of us have limited how we will permit good to be experienced within our consciousness. We are the ones who suffer from that limit and censorship. Some of us must go to a baseball game to be uplifted and feel good. To another, they must go to an opera, a play, or something else to feel uplifted. There is nothing wrong in the going to that which we have a right of choice to go to. What is the struggle for us is that we have told the goodness, which is the Universal Intelligence, that we will experience that goodness, which we have a divine right to, only if we do certain things that the vehicle, known as our mind, has limited us to do in keeping with past errors, past experience, and the darkness of ignorance. It is the shadows of the past, of things that have been, that limit the God of our present moment.”
I am pleased to announce that all volumes of The Living Light Dialogue are now available on Amazon. This is particularly goodness for our friends outside of the US because the shipping costs at Amazon may be significantly reduced. The mailing costs from the US to our distant friends is often more than the price of the book itself. So this change offers the possibility of reduced mailing costs to those who are interested in building their library of spiritual books.
