Do not look outside

View this email in your browser Dear Friends, This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class A/V Seminar 34, which has just been published in Volume 13 of The Living Light Dialogue. "Whoever looks without for fulfillment is destined to grief and sadness. Because you must realize that like attracts like. If you look without for happiness, you will attract someone who is looking without for happiness. So they will look at you with a microscope and sooner or later they will find a defect. And it's over. Until the next time. So try to understand if you're looking without, whether it be for emotional stability, a relationship, material substance, then you are only going to attract that type of person. The law fulfills itself. Now you may say, "Well, now this person's a very nice person," and find, surely, they are. But you must ask yourself the question, "Was I looking without for happiness and fulfillment when I met this person?" Well, if you were, the law fulfilled itself. You found a person now that is looking outside, denying inside, and looking outside for fulfillment. Well, the only thing they're going to find, after they blink their eyes a few times and put you under the microscope, is a defect. And then they'll go and look someplace else, you see. Because as long as you look without for what you think you need, you are still under the control of the destiny of denial. Don't look outside for what you want to experience inside. Look inside for what you want and you will find it. Stop looking outside for what you think you want. Look inside, and you will have that fulfillment as quickly as you honestly look inside because it's all there. It was never anyplace else. For outward manifestations are only revelations of inner attitudes of mind. Look inside for everything you desire, for everything you desire has always been inside of you. You will not find it outside. You will only find like kind that's doing the same thing in the error of ignorance."   Our experiences have been brought to us by us. And in the experiences that we have merited, through the laws that we have established, we have the opportunity to awaken to something greater. We are greater than what we believe we are. It is inside - a spiritual exercise

View this email in your browser Dear Friends, This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class CC 192, which was published in Volume 7 of The Living Light Dialogue. And I am pleased and happy to announce that Volume 13 of The Living Light Dialogue has just been published. See below for more information. "Let us not be so discouraged with these passing experiences that come and go. Let us use these faculties wisely to bring about the balance that will bring the success that we are after: the success of good living. Good living, my friends—to accept that it's all where you are. No matter what you think, no matter where you go, happiness and joy and laughter, they're all with you wherever you are. You don't need to do anything outside to experience the goodness and abundance and joy which is inside. Try to accept that simple truth. There's nothing outside you need to concern yourself with. It's all inside. And if you will place your attention upon the inward journey of life and remove your attention, your energy, from all these outward experiences, from all of this deception that ever directs your attention outward to find what you think you need—pull it all back. And when you do that, you will free yourself from those deceiving forms created from mental thought stuff. And you will find that heaven within and all that you desire. It's all inside. But as long as those thought forms that you have created in days of ignorance can direct this intelligent energy outside of you, to chase after what you think you need, then they will ever remain in control of you. When you speak to yourself in your daily activities, when you say, "It's inside of me. It's not out there. It's inside of me," that is an exercise that will bring about the greatest goodness that you will ever experience in all eternity. For each time your soul rises and states that truth, "It's inside of me, this experience. This fulfillment, this desire is within my consciousness," each time you rise and declare that truth, you begin to gain control of your life. You begin to stand upon the rock of principle of truth and no longer worry and fret and chase the world over for something that's waiting for your recognition within. I strongly encourage all of you, each and every day, to make the constant effort in every experience during your days and nights to rise up within you and declare that eternal truth. Whether it is what you judge to be a good experience or the opposite, rise up and declare that truth: "It's in my own universe. I will no longer be deluded that it is in someone else's universe. I will no longer be deluded that it is outside of me." If you practice that religiously each and every time you have a thought or an experience, if you rise up and declare that truth, "It is within me," you will live on earth, having filled your soul with gratitude that you have awakened, you have grown and accepted the Law of Personal Responsibility and, in so doing, are once again the captains of your ship and once again the masters of your destiny. I do sincerely pray that those within the sound of my voice will make that exercise religious to their very life each and every day. You, if you are religious with your effort, you will very soon experience the change and the transformation that starts to take place within your sphere of action. You will start to take command of your destiny in life. You will no longer worry nor concern yourself with how experiences are going to come about, for you will have declared the truth: it's within your own consciousness and, being within your own consciousness, you can accept it in any way that is beneficial to your life, your peace, and your happiness. Of all the teachings that been brought to your world, the greatest of all is to declare the truth that you can, once again, take command when you remind your mind that it's inside of you. I assure you, my friends, to those who are ready, willing, and able, the transformation will be a living demonstration of your divine birthright to the goodness, the abundance, and the greatness of life itself. You are not upon earth to suffer. That is an error within your thought. But because it is within your thought, you can always change it. There is more than enough for all God's children. And when you declare the truth that it is within your realm of thought—and you create the thought, you can change the thought—and it is no longer (your goodness of life) dependent upon anything or anyone outside, then you will know the paradise that has been waiting for you for so very, very long." The Living Light Philosophy teaches that freedom is the effect of self-control. Without the control of self, we will not experience the freedom of our true being. Volume 13 of The Living Light Dialogue has just been published! Each publication is a demonstration of the regard that the friends and members of Serenity have for not only the philosophy but also the reverence for our teachers: both Mr. Goodwin and the Wise One. A great deal of time, effort, and energy has gone into the transcription, the proofreading, and the laying out the teachings in order to make them available to a wider audience. I feel a great sense of accomplishment as well as appreciation for all the good work by all the many and varied individuals involved that has resulted in this beautiful demonstration. The class synopses will soon be available for Volume 13 on the Catalogue page of Serenity's website, and they will provide a great deal of information on the subjects discussed, far more information than I could provide here. The Living Light Dialogue Volume 13 is now available on Amazon and will be available by special order at your local bookstore, once the bookstores re-open. Volume 13 completes the A/V Seminars series of classes, which were given to students of the Living Light Philosophy at the Serenity Temple. More insight into acceptance

View this email in your browser Dear Friends, This week's quote is from spiritual awareness class A/V Special Seminar, which was published in Volume 12 of The Living Light Dialogue. "You see, it doesn't mean that you must experience everything that old creation has to offer to be in total acceptance. It means that you look at the tree and you accept its divine right to be a tree, to express itself in the way of its own individuality. You accept the divine right of the little ant to have its home on the Earth and on the planet. You accept the divine right of all people, of all nature to express itself, though its expression is not in keeping with your own prejudgment. For, you see, your freedom, your goodness is ever in keeping with your acceptance of the divine right of life. We are an inseparable part of this great stream of consciousness known as life. We are not greater than it. As the drop of water from the great oceans of time are not greater than the ocean itself, but they do contain all the constituents of the ocean, but they are not greater than the ocean. So we must learn to respect the infinite, divine Intelligence no matter what form it expresses through. We must learn to accept its right to express, because by denying its right to express in our consciousness we become greater than God, and we pay the price of experiencing the opposite of abundant goodness."   The Living Light Philosophy has many, many affirmations. They are designed to help us become more aware of our divine heritage. One affirmation that I have found very helpful to me is the following one. It was first published as part of The Serenity Game, which is a card game that has 500 cards of sayings and affirmations of the philosophy. "God, I know that you divine laws never faileth, for I am this instant the living demonstration of that. I accept in consciousness your divine right of expression and I fear not to become the blade of grass for you are in it and, being in it, I am free."
